Most of the younger generation will likely not understand that title, but some of the older generation and those of us who enjoy watching the old black and white movies will get it right away.

Of course it is from the days when newspapers were sold by vendors often young boys who would receive a commission for selling the papers often with headlines about some big news item, they had these in the morning and sometimes in the mid day too.

Extras or extra editions, as they were called at times, when a big news item would come out.

These days we have what they are calling a 24 hour news cycle, which is basically a revolving door of new often the same news repeated over and over again.

Back in the old days, this was the primary method of getting your news, and it required that you read it or that you listen to the radio, later TV, became the main news vehicle, however, now it appears that not only are the days of the newspaper somewhat less important than they used to be but it is readily apparent that most Americans are getting their news from other sources than TV or Radio, with newspapers coming up a distant well way at the back of the crowd of news providers.

Like the milk man that used to bring fresh milk from the dairy, the newspaper may be about to disappear.

It is highly advantageous to get your news online, for many reasons, but one of the most important of these is that you can control your experience.

That is one of the most appealing things is to be able to get the news and the information you want to get without having to sit through commercials that do not interest you.

Commercials, have always been a part of our news cycle, however, it seems like they are getting somewhat strident, at least it seems that way.
