The new Terms of service are an alleged serious problem for Google and you need to be aware of these issues as it may effect your video products you have uploaded to youtube.com
At the heart of the issue is that when you upload video materials, Google has written in a license for itself and anyone that works with google, (possibly an advertiser) to be able to do what ever they want with any material that you post online.
This creates several legal issues, that until resolved may cause you a great deal of sorrow.
For example what if you have purchased an image to use online, and you have that right, usually it is called a royalty free license, the problem here is that Google in its alleged, zeal to conquer every corner of the market, has created a catch 22 situation for many of its most powerful advertisers.
If you have any videos online that contain any royalty free rights images, video, audio, sound, transitions, and or any other royalty free rights products, including video products used to compile said products, you need to remove them from Youtube before, march 1st, as after this date Google according to its own Terms of service, may never delete anything ever again, it is a serious problem and one you need to be very aware about.
WE have had to delete many of our most popular videos, due to these very draconian, and Evil TOS, it is bad for business, bad for advertisers, and bad for publishers, its bad all around and if you do have any video that has any images in it that you do not own the copyright in its entirety you need to remove it right away.
We think this is a huge public relations nightmare for Google but since they do not have any real way to contact them, its not our problem.
WE think there may be other more friendly vendors online to help us with our video serving needs, so we may actually stop using Youtube and all Google services in the near future.
Its a sad end to a great deal of growth, I do not know who is actually running this company but whom ever it is they need to be fired.
